Duck tours?

  1. I think the Duck Tours use those amphibious vehicles (former military landing crafts.) I did one of the Duck Tours somewhere, either in Boston or maybe Seattle. (Actually, I didn't think there was much in the way of rivers or lakes in Philly so using an amphibious vehicle wouldn't be necessary.)

  2. Yeah, I googled it, and the duck is the vehicle. I thought it had something to do with going to see ducks, which was confusing considering how many Canada geese there are around here, and not a duck in sight.

  3. I've seen Duck tours offered in Seattle - pretty strange.

  4. We did the Duck tours in Boston where they gave everyone duck-bill shaped whistles that sounded like quacks. My kids loved it!! The driver also let all the little kids steer the boat. So much for safety concerns, but my kids *still* talk about that trip. Every now and then a duck whistle emerges from someone's desk drawer.
